Who we are

The Digital Leadership Association is the first independent, impartial authority standarizing and verifying the quality of digital education across Europe. Leading enterprises in technology education (TechEd) and educational technology (EdTech) are partnering with key connoisseurs in business and technology, to establish the DLA.

We want to inform you of all confidentiality measures we are implementing to guarantee that your personal data is perfectly protected. Confidentiality and security are essential values ​​of the Digital Leadership Association (DLA), and, consequently, we assume the commitment to guarantee your privacy at all times and not to collect unnecessary information. We have adapted this privacy policy to the requirements of EU regulations:

  • Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights (LOPD).
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons (RGPD).
  • Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce (LSSICE or LSSI).

What personal data we collect and why 

The data we collect and process are for identification purposes. We do not collect specially protected data or data related to special categories of data. DLA collects your personal data to provide a means for you to contact us, answer your requests for information, enable the provision of services to you, management of contracted services and the collections and payments as a consequence thereof and sending of commercial communications.

Specifically, DLA processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Address queries, questions or requests made through the service or communication channels on the DLA website and contacting users to resolve them.
  • Improve the DLA Platform and its services, to offer better services and content.
  • To analyze visit metrics for our websites.
  • Manage your registration as a USER on the NUCLIODS website.
  • To send you informative communications by e-mail about activities, initiatives or programs that may be of interest to you.
  • Conduct studies for statistical purposes.
  • Manage billing and accounting purposes.
  • Comply with tax obligations.
  • Comply with the current legal framework.

For the contact forms on the DLA website, it is necessary for users to fill in the fields that DLA requires as mandatory, otherwise registration will fail. Users must inform DLA of their current personal data so that the information contained in their files is updated and without errors. The legal basis for the treatment of your data is the consent that you give us, expressly accepting this privacy policy.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

DLA will maintain your personal data for as long as necessary so that we comply with our legal or regulatory obligations during the applicable prescription periods in current regulations. DLA will periodically carry out an analysis of the data conservation periods, automatically eliminating those data whose information has become obsolete or outdated.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Where we send your data

Your data is confidential and will not be transferred to third parties, unless there is a legal obligation. We inform you that certain data, within the framework of current regulations or the contractual relationship you maintain with DLA, may be communicated to:

  • The corresponding banking entity for the payment and collection of invoices.
  • Entities of the DLA group for accounting and payment of invoices.
  • Third parties that manage digital campaigns on behalf of DLA.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Anyone can withdraw their consent at any time, when it has been granted for the processing of their data. In no case, the withdrawal of this consent conditions the execution of the subscription contract or the relationships generated previously. Likewise, you can exercise the following rights:

Policy modifications and security measures

DLA reserves the right to modify this policy to adapt it to new legislation or jurisprudence, as well as to industry practices. In addition, this privacy policy may vary depending on legislative or self-regulatory requirements, so we advise you to visit it periodically.

Your personal data will be processed by DLA under the strictest confidentiality, applying the corresponding technical and organizational security measures in accordance with current regulations.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
